Connected yet Disconnected...

Today I was walking through the park and it occurred to me that we are probably even more disconnected then we have ever been before. It’s weird because at the same time we’re even more connected than before via our phones, the internet and social media.

I experimented a little by just looking at people as I walk past them and smile to see if I would get one in return. You know I found that people wouldn’t even look at me as they walked by.

Don’t get me wrong, I know everyone isn’t like that but quite a lot of us are. We can be too engrossed within our phones or thoughts about the online haze that we don’t even look up to smile at the person next to us.
